Because Maxeda wants to be the best company to work for, we think it is important to help our employees develop their talents. We do this by providing educational programmes, among other things. We want our employees to have job satisfaction and feel challenged by their working environment. Our employees' opinions are important to us, which is why we conduct an employee satisfaction survey each year. In February 2006 the survey showed that we score well with respect to collegiality, variety and taking pleasure in the job.

We offer entry-level employees an environment in which to learn and develop within the various formulas or at Maxeda's head office.

We also provide career opportunities from the shop floor all the way up to senior management. With our variety of formulas, such as fashion, DIY shops, department stores and fresh food, we offer our employees a range of opportunities for specialisation. And then there is Maxeda, the support organisation behind our shops, where employees can expand their knowledge of HR, finance, IT, logistics and purchasing. Our terms and conditions of employment are favourable and we set great store by a proper balance between work and home life.
